St. John Parish to Open Warming Centers Ahead of Winter Weather 

Warming Centers will open Monday, January 20, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at:    

 - West Bank Public Safety Complex 5739 Highway 18, Wallace, LA     

 - Garyville Fire Station #71 418 Historic West St., Garyville, LA             

  The shelters are open for St. John residents. Cots and blankets are available. Residents should bring additional blankets, food, and snacks. The shelters will remain open for the duration of the winter event.   

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for Monday night through Tuesday evening and Cold Weather Advisory Sunday night and Monday night through Tuesday.

Please remember to protect pipes and plants, stay warm, and look out for pets and the elderly.
