St. John the Baptist Parish COVID-19 Update

St. John the Baptist Parish – Recently Governor John Bel Edwards announced that Louisiana will enter a modified Phase Two. Accordingly, a parish which previously opted into but subsequently exceeded the 5% positivity rate for two consecutive weeks would be required to cease all indoor on premise consumption at bars. 

According to the Louisiana Department of Health, St. John the Baptist Parish exceeded 5 % positivity rate for two consecutive weeks requiring bars to cease in-door consumption.  

Percent Positivity: (11/19 – 11/25) 5.50 %

                              (11/26/ -12/2) 6.10%

Per the Governor’s order, bars may continue to offer curbside and drive-thru services. For additional guidance, visit the Open Safely portal at opensafely.la.gov.
