Bridge Closure: Newport Bridge is completely closed due to emergency repairs.The repair work is expected to take place through August 10th, weather permitting.

St. John the Baptist Parish – Parish President Jaclyn Hotard is pleased to announce that Marathon Petroleum Corporation (MPC) recently donated $30,000 to St. John the Baptist Parish to aid with Covid-19 and other community-related efforts.
“We want to express our sincere gratitude to MPC for their generous donation during this critical time,” said President Hotard. “This donation is a testament to Marathon’s continued support of our community.”
MPC Louisiana Refining Division Vice President Dave Foster added: “When the Parish announced it would cancel the Andouille Festival, where MPC serves as Title Sponsor, we still wanted to provide our assistance to the Parish. We are so pleased to donate to COVID relief efforts in St. John Parish, when and where it is needed the most.”
