Utilities is making emergency water repairs and as a result residents on East 13th, Hancock and Plymouth streets will have little to no water pressure for an estimated 4 to 6 hours.

Construction is officially underway on the Lake Pontchartrain Shoreline Protection Project.
Funded by a GOMESA bond, project will add a breakwater system to help protect the shoreline from erosion, stormsurge, and coastal flooding from the St. Charles Parish line to Frenier.
Crews have started placing rocks for the breakwater, which will eventually fill in with sediment to expand the land. Completion is expected by year’s end, weather permitting. Stay tuned for progress updates!
