President Hotard Provides Update on Airline Highway (US 61) Resurfacing and other State Projects

 

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) opened bids this week on the US 61 (Airline Highway) overlay project in St. John Parish from Airport Road to St. James Parish. Once awarded, this will be a complete overlay of this portion of Airline Highway.

 

President Hotard also moved forward with an agreement with DOTD for a new lighting system on US 51 (Highway 51) at the I-10/I-55 Interchange which will greatly improve visibility in this area.

 

DOTD will also open bids on the LA 3127 overlay project next year and the second phase of overlay on US 61 (Airline Highway) from Wildcat Drive to Airport Road in the near future.
