President Hotard and Officials Break Ground on WB Multipurpose Complex

St. John the Baptist Parish - Today, Parish President Jaclyn Hotard welcomed Casey Tingle, Director of the Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness, Council & elected officials, and many community members for a groundbreaking ceremony for the new West Bank Multipurpose Complex in Edgard.

 

The facility will assist the parish in providing disaster services, including a distribution center for water, food, and other supplies, emergency sheltering, as well as a facility to store supplies and other provisions, and other public purposes.

 

“It was a wonderful day celebrating the beginning of an exciting project on the West Bank and another step in ensuring we are resilient and remain prepared for emergencies and disasters in the future,” said Parish President Jaclyn Hotard. ###
