Parish President Hotard Hosts Ribbon Cutting for Cambridge Pump Station & Woodland Wastewater Treatment Plant Decommission Project
In continuing with major wastewater improvements Parishwide, Parish President Hotard, alongside staff, Council members, and representatives from the engineering team, cut the ribbon on the Cambridge Pump Station & Woodland Wastewater Treatment Plant Decommission Project.
The $7 million project marks a significant advancement in wastewater management, featuring major improvements to the Cambridge Pump Station. The upgraded pump station is now efficiently transferring wastewater flow—previously processed at the Woodland Plant—to the River Road Wastewater Treatment Plant. This consolidation effort enhances operational efficiency, reduces maintenance costs, and modernizes the parish’s wastewater infrastructure.
“This project is another step forward in our commitment to improving wastewater operations Parishwide,” said Parish President Hotard. “By decommissioning the Woodland Plant and enhancing the Cambridge Pump Station, we are creating a more efficient and cost-effective system that will benefit our residents for years to come.”
The investment in wastewater infrastructure aligns with the Parish’s long-term strategy to optimize resources and enhance environmental sustainability. The consolidation of treatment facilities reduces operational complexity and ensures compliance with evolving regulatory standards. ###
