On this day a year ago was Inauguration Day for Parish President Hotard and the St. John the Baptist Parish Council. At that moment, it is doubtful anyone knew what 2020 would bring.
After a challenging year of a global pandemic, a record breaking hurricane season, and much uncertainty – we made it.
An excerpt from President Hotard’s speech last year could not prove truer today: “There will always be obstacles… and the path to success is always winding and bumpy. But it is only the man upstairs who determines your fate, so each morning when you wake up, brush the dirt off of your shoulders and never let anyone or anything distract you from fulfilling your purpose.”
President Hotard, staff and Council are eager to keep moving forward in 2021 hopeful for better days ahead.
