Parish President Hotard joined Library Director Andrea Tullos and staff, the Library Board of Control, elected officials, community members and family of Leroy D. Williams for a ribbon cutting ceremony to commemorate the grand opening of the new Leroy D. Williams Memorial Library at 1482 Highway 44 in Reserve on Monday, July 1.

As a community connector, the Reserve Branch will provide quality resources, networking opportunities, and creative programming that is relevant to the interests and needs of the public. Specialty spaces will be used for learning, gathering, discovering, and developing talents.
“The role of the library in our community cannot be understated or undervalued, said Parish President Hotard. “They are resource centers, information hubs, job opportunities and skill building, but most importantly a safe and nurturing place for children and adults.

Maintaining strong library systems is a vital investment in an inclusive and educated Parish and the new Leroy D. Williams Library, and all of our libraries, are the blueprint. I want to thank Mrs. Tullos and all involved on seeing this project through to completion.”
