Elevated Water Tower and Storage Tank Rehabilitation Project

Parish President Hotard is pleased to share that a $3 million Elevated Water Tower and Storage Tank Rehabilitation project is near completion.

During this project, eight water tanks Parishwide are being rehabilitated to ensure continued clean storage for drinking water in St. John:

• Garyville Elevated Water Tower

• Lucy Elevated Water Tower

• Walnut Elevated Water Tower

• Belle Terre Elevated Water Tower

• Courthouse Elevated Water Tower

• Lions Ground Storage Tank South

• Ruddock Station 1 Ground Storage Tank

Additional Utilities improvements starting this month, includes the rehabilitation of the Central Avenue Lift Station, which removes or repairs/replaces the pumps and motors, piping, and electrical, to ensure more reliable wastewater services and the replacement of the existing electrical at the Lions Water Treatment Plant. The new electrical equipment at the Lions Water Treatment Plant allows for expansion and future improvements. ###
