Parish President Jaclyn Hotard, Chief Cain Dufrene and the St. John Parish Fire Department, joined Sheriff Mike Tregre, St John the Baptist Parish Sheriff's Office, and other first responders, for Blue Mass at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church today.

Blue Mass is held each year in appreciation for first responders and also to remember those who have sacrificed their own lives while serving our community.

During Mass, responders and officials joined in prayer for God to continue to watch over and protect them everyday and for a peaceful year in St. John Parish. Lunch was served immediately following.
“To our first responders: your courage, dedication, and selfless service inspire us all,” said Parish President Jaclyn Hotard. “In times of crisis, you are the unwavering presence we depend on, and for that, we are forever grateful.” #StJohnStrong #BlueMass
