HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS MATERIALS COLLECTION DAY ON APRIL 5TH

Published on March 24, 2025

The following household hazardous materials will be accepted and properly disposed of or recycled: oil-based paint, solvents, tires (limit five per vehicle and one delivery only), automotive and other rechargeable batteries, household cleaning products, acids/bases, used oil, antifreeze, aerosol cans, fluorescent lamps, pesticides, herbicides, scrap metal, major appliances and used electronics.

Household Hazardous Materials Collection Day

April 05, 2025

St. John Parish residents, save the date! On Saturday, April 5, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., safely dispose of household hazardous waste at 1921 Airline Highway, LaPlace (New Wine Ministries parking lot). Drop off items like paint, batteries, chemicals, and more.

West Shore Lake Pontchartrain Levee Project Open House

March 27, 2025

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority (CPRA) and Pontchartrain Levee District, will host an Open House, Thursday, March 27, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on the West Shore Lake Pontchartrain Levee Project and River Reintroduction to Maurepas Swamp Project.

The Open House will be held at Regala Gym, 200 REGALA Park Rd., Reserve.
